We’ve updated the “Ages Open To” filter on the Placement Options Dashboard to give agency workers more control over how age ranges are matched.
Previously, the filter would only return placements where the full “Ages Open To” range covered all selected ages. For example, if searching for ages 14–18, a home open to ages 12–17 would not appear because it didn’t cover the full range.
Now, there’s a new filter option that allows agency workers to find placements open to any of the selected ages, not just those that match the full set.
Filter Options Now Include:
Placements Open to All Selected Ages (original behavior)
Placements Open to Any of the Selected Ages (new option)
This change gives agencies the flexibility to search for placement options based on the filtering behavior that best fits their placement needs.

We’ve updated how Children in Home (CIH) removal impacts requirements to better support audit and record-keeping needs:

On the current application, unfulfilled requirements will drop off, but fulfilled requirement records will move to “Other / Miscellaneous” to retain documentation of what was completed.
Applicants can now only delete CIH records that have never had any requirement activity, preventing accidental loss of important history.
This ensures agencies retain a complete audit trail for all fulfilled CIH requirements.

[FIX] We’ve fixed an issue where additional requirement records were tied to a user’s role rather than the user themselves.
Now, when a user’s role changes, their completed and in-progress requirements stay linked to them.
If there’s no active requirement for the new role, the document will move to “Other / Miscellaneous.”
If a new requirement is later added for that user, the previously completed document will automatically fulfill the new requirement if it matches.
This ensures better continuity of documentation through role changes.

We’ve enhanced Binti AI Transcription to give agency workers more flexibility when uploading documents.
After selecting a file to upload, workers will now see a new step with the question:
“What would you like to do with your file?”
They can choose one or both of the following options:
- Create a case note using the content of the file – If it’s a text file, the full text will appear in the case note. If it’s a form or other document, Binti AI will summarize the contents.
- Have AI fill form answers using the content of the file – If selected, workers can pick specific forms (from a filterable multi-select list) that they want Binti AI to help fill, using information from the uploaded file.

This helps protect against accidental data loss while still respecting agency security policies.
As a safeguard, all sessions will time out after 4 hours, and the recording will automatically be submitted if still in progress. This can be configured by a Binti Admin on request.

[FIX] We’ve updated how requirements generated by partner agencies are handled to ensure they are only visible to the custodial agency and the partner agency that created them.
Previously, these requirements were visible across all partner agencies involved in cross-agency placements, which was not the intended behavior.
What’s new:
Requirements generated by a partner agency’s schedules, programs, ad hoc events, or levels of care during a placement will now persist after the placement ends.
However, if a new placement is created with a different partner agency, that new agency will not see requirements generated by the previous partner’s configurations.
We’ve implemented filtering to ensure agencies only see requirements they or the custodial agency created.
This update improves data privacy and keeps requirement visibility aligned with agency roles and permissions.

We’ve improved how the system handles errors when updating worker assignments in our API.
Previously, if someone tried to assign a worker to an outdated application (not the most recent one in a family’s renewal chain), they’d get a confusing error message. Now, the error clearly explains that you can only update worker assignments on the newest application in the sequence.
Additionally, we’ve made a behind-the-scenes improvement to how the system finds and links related applications. This makes things more accurate and helps avoid potential performance issues in large environments.
