Steps for Logging into Chromebooks
Ensure your Chromebook has been fully charged (*Charge it as soon as you are given the Chromebook so it is ready and charged for the first day of school)
Turn on the Chromebook by pushing the power button on the left side
A notification box will appear that says “Network not Available” - choose and log into your wifi network (*this should only happen the first time you log into a new wifi network)
The next screen will read “Sign in to your Chromebook” - choose “Sign in with a different account”
Enter the student’s email address and click “next”. The email address will look like this: firstname.lastname@Binghamtonschools.org
Example: john.doe@binghamtonschools.org
The next screen will say “Connecting to G Suite” - enter the email address (again) and the password: first name initial last name initial & the password - The middle school password was sent home with the Chromebooks! You will then be prompted to change the password.
**Both the email address and password should be given to the student when their Chromebook is picked up. If there are issues with logging in please call: 607-766-3800
Trouble Logging in and Logging out:
If for some reason there is another person logged into the Chromebook, you can simply log the person out by clicking the gray oval on the bottom right side of the screen and clicking “sign out.” Once that person is logged out, the correct person can start the login process from Step 4 at the top of this page.
