Biomedical Engineering senior student Craig Conn presented the outreach programs in the 2024 Community-Engaged Learning and Research Showcase at Binghamton University.
You might question the necessity of including an outreach component in the BME 413 course. I sent this message to the entire Fall 2023 BME 413 class to clarify its purposes. We believe it's a valuable opportunity and privilege to collaborate with the local community and create a meaningful impact. Engaging in the outreach program provides a unique perspective on teaching and learning that not all students encounter. It offers you the chance to develop intellectual and emotional maturity.
This outreach program is sponsored by the Center for Civic Engagement at Binghamton University and the National Science Foundation.
