1. 2022-2025  PI, AKS Lab Grant: Reinforcing the Status of Korean as a World Language: Theoretical and Applied Korean Linguistics, Academy of Korean Studies (AKS). 9/1/2022-8/31/2025 ($240,000) (AKS-2022-LAB-2230005)

     This grant provides four book and four journal article publications in East Asian Linguistics.


2. 2016-2021  Co-PI, AKS Lab Grant: Korean at the Nexus of the Northeast Asian Linguistic Area (with John Whitman at Cornell University), Academy of Korean Studies (AKS). 9/1/2016-8/31/2021 ($1.4 Million) (AKS-2016-LAB-2250004)

     This grant provides five book publications and fifteen journal articles in Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.


3. 2011-2016  PI, Core University Program for Korean Studies, Academy of Korean Studies (AKS). 9/1/2011-8/31/2016 ($909,706) (AKS-2011-BAA-2103)

This grant provides four monographs from four Korean studies faculty, two edited volumes and four staff positions (CKS Coordinators and    IEGI staff) including two faculty lines (North Korean Literature, Immanuel Kim and Korean Language, So-Jin Moon) in Korean studies.

This grant provides National Standard Project 2 (NSP) for teaching Korean and organizes Korean Special Interest Group at ACTFL.

This grant provides National Standard Project 2 (NSP) for learning Korean and organizes Korean Special Interest Group at ACTFL.

This grant provides National Standard Project 1 (NSP) for learning Korean and organizes Korean Special Interest Group at ACTFL.

 

7. 2009  Co-PI, Teaching Material Development Grant, Korea Foundation ($20,000)

This grant sets up Task-Force Committee for National Standards for Learning Korean.

This grant establishes an Assistant Professor in Modern Korean History (Sonja Kim) at Binghamton University.
