Dimitrov's Research Team - 2025 edition 

Recent News:

• In October of 2022 Nikolay Dimitrov received the prestigious 2022 Award of the Electrodeposition Division of The Electrochemical Society.

• In June of 2023 Nikolay Dimitrov received a major career recognition with the 2022-2023 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities .

• Our graduate student Zhen Lei received the prestigious 2024 Binghamton University Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Research. Zhen is planning to defend his Ph.D. dissertation by the end of 2025.

• Our graduate student Abdullah Faisal Pasha received the prestigious 2024 Binghamton University Graduate Student Award for Outreach.

• In April of 2024 Zhen Lei received the Clifford Myers Summer Research Scholarship.

• In April of 2025 Abdullah Faisal Pasha received the Clifford Myers Summer Research Scholarship.

• In October of 2025 Abdullah Faisal Pasha received the prestigious 2025 Chemistry Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Research. Faisal is planning to defend his Ph.D. dissertation by the end of spring of 2026. 

New Doctors in the Group:

• Zhen Lei  defended successfully his Ph.D. dissertations in October 2025 and chose the offer of a company in China for his first professional appointment. He will be moving soon back home to start his professional development.

• Mike Njuki defended successfully his Ph.D. dissertations in May 2023 and chose the offer of Intel Corp for his first professional appointment. He will be moving soon to Portland, OR to start his professional development.

• Ezer Castillo defended successfully his Ph.D. dissertations in February 2023 and chose the offer of Estee Lauder Companies in Long Island, NY for his first professional appointment.
