Plagiarism: to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own or to use (another's production) without crediting the source (Merriam-Webster).
Plagiarism can be both an intentional or an unintentional act. We recognize that often it occurs simply by forgetting to cite a source or add quotations. However, learning to properly avoid plagiarism and cite a source is critically important. Therefore, any plagiarism, accidental or not, will result in a zero on an assignment, no exceptions. However, the student still has the opportunity to correct any mistakes. Intentional plagiarism will be referred to the admin for further disciplinary action.
