FUNDRAISING

Many of the groups, clubs and organizations at Medicine Crow Middle School participate in a number of fund-raising activities during the school year.  The Band Department is one of those groups.  The department sells a number of products at various times of the year.  Some of the sales are pre-paid, while others are pay-on-receipt of the merchandise.  The funds raised go toward purchasing music, stands, equipment, trips, etc.  

Students are not required to do fund-raising.  A students’ grade is not dependent on how much they sell. The success of the student is in no way connected to fund-raising.

Fundraisers are a way for the students to develop skills managing merchandise and money. It is important they understand the responsibility of keeping track of all items and payments and turning them in on time. Any misplaced products or money places a financial burden on the department, as we are still required to pay for those items.  Consequently, it has become necessary to require all students and parents/guardians to sign a contract that states all parties understand their responsibility for all money and/or products from any fund-raisers.

Each band student will have their own fundraising folder in the band room that they will fill out each time they turn in money.  The folder will then be handed to me to turn into the office for deposit into the band department account.  

The students and myself of the MCMS band department thank you for the continued support of our band program.

We will be selling the blue Preferred Coupon Books starting September 3rd.   The following are the instructions when students start bringing home books.  They will check out books from me in class.  Money will be turned in using band fundraiser folder.  Each student has their own folder and it can be found in the band room.  

Preferred Coupon Book Fundraiser

Sale Dates:

 Wednesday, September 20th, thru Friday, October 27th

Selling:

1. Cost for each coupon book is $20. 

2. Collect Money in an envelope or Ziploc bag AT TIME OF ORDER and turn in as you collect in your fundraising folder to Mrs. Maurer.  The folders are in the band room.

3. Make checks payable to-Medicine Crow Middle School Band or MCMS Band

4. Turn in all money as you collect it.  ALL ORDERS MUST BE PAID FOR PRIOR TO HANDING OUT COUPON BOOK.

5. All money and non-sold books are due by October 27th.
