Collage of the Principles of the Constitution

This is an assessment summative score worth 10 points for the unit.

After identifying the six different principles (key ideas) of the Constitution, you will choose ONE of the six to create a collage of pictures. The collage will show images that RELATE to your chosen principle AND each image will have a caption that describes HOW the picture is related to the principle.

Choose from ONE of the following principles of the Constitution listed below. Refer back to your Ch. 6 Vocabulary to use and remind you of the definition of the principle. The vocabulary can be found on the Resources page.

1. Popular Sovereignty

2. Republic

3. Federalism

4. Separation of Powers

5. Checks and Balances

6. Limited Government

Your collage will have:

• the definition of the principle (2 points)

• a total of 2 pictures THAT RELATE to the principle you chose. (4 points)

• EACH picture MUST have a caption that explains WHY/ HOW it relates to the principle. This is a caption that is put in your own words based on the images you chose. The caption is to have detail and consists of 8 or more words (4 points)
