TIME MAGAZINE
Time Magazine archives of every issue, cover and lots of graphics from the magazine over the years. A good source that’s at a good reading level and good for finding images, visuals and some primary sources.
SPORTS ILLUSTRATED
The archives for Sports Illustrated with free downloadable versions of every issue. Great for graphics, visuals and images but also great as a primary and secondary source for sports related topics.
HARPER'S WEEKLY
Harper’s Weekly was the main magazine read by across the United States during the late 19th century. This collection of political cartoons dating from the 1860s includes each presidential election from 1860 to 1912 and mid-19th century political controversies. Also includes other features from “Harper’s Weekly” lessons plans, simulations and a cartoon search engine by topic or date.
LIFE MAGAZINE PHOTO ARCHIVE

Search millions of photographs from the LIFE photo archive, stretching from the 1750s to today. Most were never published and are now available for the first time through the joint work of LIFE and Google.
NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO
There are a lot of radio programs including interviews with the actual people and experts on a variety of topics. Check it out because you’d be surprised at what you find.
MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO ARCHIVE
Also a lot of radio programs including special programs on a wide variety of subjects.
NEW YORK TIMES ARCHIVE
The New York Times archives offering articles from as far back as 1851. Some are free and some cost money. If you go to the link for the Anoka County Library or Hennepin County Library and have a library card barcode from either one, you can access ALL for free. Also free at the U of M Wilson Library
TED TALKS and TED TALKS CLASSROOM LESSONS

Both websites are a great source of interesting information by leading experts of our modern time. Check this website and see what's it all about. Be sure to visit both because there might be something awesome for your topic on one (or both) of them.
CRASH COURSE VIDEO SERIES
A tremendous library of videos to help you understand your topic and especially to understand the historical context of your topic.
NERDFIGHTERIA WIKI WITH CRASH COURSE SCRIPTS
You can find complete scripts along with the Crash Course videos on this website. The benefit of having the script is that you can read along with the video and better understand all the information that's being presented.
HISTORY CHANNEL
Some good articles in here and some good videos. Search away and don't get too annoyed with all the commercials they put before you.

If your topic is about the United States and involves anything to do with the government (which is every topic) then this is a good resource for primary sources and more. LOTS of information to help you with your topic and especially with historical context.
