The Marching Band provides the soundtrack to all the home and away football games! In addition to playing at football games, we actively compete in at least three competitions per year, and march in various parades held in Perry County.  The Colorguard is open to anyone in grades 9-12 and does not require previous enrollment in the band. This group rehearses during class time as well as on Tuesdays after school. 

The Concert Band is the staple of the band program here at BHS. We perform a Christmas Program as well as two or three concerts in the spring. Recently the group earned 2nd place in the 2A State Concert Contest.

The Percussion Ensemble is open to anyone enrolled in the band, including non-percussionists. We rehearse after school, preparing for various festivals as well as our own concerts. This group performs annually for the UCA Percussion Festival. 

The 8th Grade Band is an extension of the beginning band. We go deeper into the fundamentals of each instrument as well as allow the SR High students to try out secondary instruments. This group performs with both the High School Band as well as the 7th Grade Band. 

Split into three separate classes, 7th grade is the first-year students are allowed to take band. Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion classes are all taught separately and designed to give students focus on their own instruments.
