"In comparison to the experience of my daughters, who both rowed for the University of Iowa, college soccer coaches were challenging for my son as they weren't very responsive to his efforts to communicate. Ian McCallum, was able to provide insight and contacts that were helpful in starting productive conversations. Coach Ballan Campeau was encouraging and helped manage the frustration created by the recruiting process." Greg Millerd, Parent with 3 college student-athletes

"I thought I had a strong view of the college recruiting process until Ian helped me see more than what I was seeing. Without his help I wouldn’t had found the perfect college for me. His insight is very valuable for anyone wanting to play college soccer." Carlos Field-Bennett, BHS Senior

"Understanding that even if you are a capable player, you are very likely to hear "thank you for your interest in our program, however we are not recruiting at your position." It is disheartening but it is important to keep going as there is enough opportunity to play, you just need to find where that is. BIFC was helpful in identifying colleges I might consider."
Quinn Millerd, Drake University Men's Soccer

Ian McCallum has made the path clear on what needed to be done and how to achieve my goals in the college recruiting process. Connecting me to college coaches, one on one phone calls on next steps, as well as supporting me throughout the process he has made everything much smoother.
Zach Shramling, BHS Senior

Unfortunately, no matter how good a student-athlete you are, chances are that you won’t be able to attend college at no cost since only certain student-athletes are eligible for full-ride athletic scholarships. Those sports include: Men’s basketball, Men’s football, Women’s basketball, Women’s gymnastics, Women’s tennis and Women’s volleyball. Click for more info.

Approximately 45,000 players play NCAA college soccer, but this figure is just 6 percent of the 750,000 high school soccer athletes. At four-year schools with Division 1 soccer, Men's rosters are allowed a maximum of 9 scholarships and Women's rosters are permitted to offer a maximum of 14 scholarships. However not every program has the maximum number of scholarships allocated to their soccer program.
