BSc Accty CUSEP is the SCREENING PROCESS (1) for Below Quota (BQ) applicants for BSc Accountancy and (2) for transferees/shifters to fill in the available slots.
The process is divided into two parts: the two-day lecture and the examination. The Department of Accountancy will conduct the lecture on Fundamentals in Accounting, Business, and Management (ABM) and Basic Taxation in two days, and the examination will be held after the lectures. The qualified applicants will fill in the available slots based on their ranks. BSc Accty first-year students with Qualified remark are not required to enlist nor attend.
The following are eligible:
Interested incoming BSA First-year applicants with Below Quota remarks, regardless of SHS track, and at least 88.8390% BUCET composite rating who listed BSc Accountancy as their first or second choice
Prospective shifters/transferees with a general weighted average (GWA) of at least 1.7 or 92% and no grades below 2.4 or 85% in any subject/course.
The lectures will be on 10-11 July 2025 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at Bulwagang BUeño of 3F Bicol University Student Union Center Building (BU-SUC), BU West Campus, (MAIN CAMPUS), Legazpi City. The applicant will receive an E-mail Admission Pass from buacctdept@bicol-u.edu.ph on or before 09 July 2025. A negative email means the applicant failed to complete the enlistment, was not eligible, or was cut-off in the hall seat.
The examination will be on 12 July 2025 at Seva Building (BUCBEM), BU DARAGA CAMPUS, Daraga, Albay. Room assignment will be available on 11 July 2025.
The lecture and the examination are free of charge. The Department of Accountancy does not recognize tutorials, review classes, or sell slots to applicants.

For incoming first-year:
1pc 1x1 recently taken ID picture (to be posted in the BUCET Result)
2025 BUCET Result's digital copy
For shifters/transferees:
1pc 1x1 recently taken ID picture (to be posted in the Letter of Intent)
Digital copy of Transcript of Records / Certificate of Grades (with grade conversion if from other schools)
Digital copy of the Letter of Intent to Shift/Transfer prepared and signed by the applicant and then addressed to the BUCBEM Dean, Dr. Dimson M. Rivero.
Online submission ends at 5:00 PM on 09 July 2025.
Applicants must also (1) present the original copy of the aforementioned digital documents for verification and (2) identification on 10 July 2025.
The examination content and average rating are computed and distributed as follows:
Exam 1- Fundamentals of ABM 1 50%
Exam 2- Fundamentals of ABM 2 30%
Exam 3- Basic Taxation 20%
All applicants will be ranked. The BQ rank list of qualifiers (i.e., eligible applicants) to fill available slots will be available on 16 July 2025 through the iBU-SIS e-mail. The onsite registration of the eligible applicants for BSc Accty 1 is from 19-24 July 2025.
Acceptance and onsite registration of eligible shifter or transferee for BSc Accty is from 07-10 August 2025.
The number of slots will depend on the number of enrolled BUCET Qualified in the first year.
For example, there are 140 slots given to BSc Accountancy First Year. If 100 BUCET Qualified incoming first-years are enrolled, 40 slots will be available for applicants. Then, the top 40 in the rank will be accommodated to fill in the free slots.
The slot for the BUCET Qualified first year is non-transferable. The unfilled slots will be distributed to this program’s applicants.
