Over a span of twenty-seven years since October 1996, the BSA program of Bicol University has been performing excellently in the CPA Licensure Examination, registering above-national passing rates, turning out a number of board examination passers, placers, and topnotchers, and being recognized as a Top Performing School (TPS) in the CPA Licensure Examination and in accountancy education in the country.

TOP PERFORMING SCHOOL RECOGNITIONS
Owing to its excellent performance in the CPA Licensure Examination, Bicol University has been hailed and recognized as a Top Performing School (TPS) in the licensure examination and accountancy education consistently over the years. Since October 2002, Bicol University has been recognized as a TPS for eleven (11) times already, with its highest honor of being the 1st Top Performing School last May 2009.
The TPS recognition is given by the PRC – Board of Accountancy to accountancy schools who perform excellently in each licensure examination season, with qualifications becoming more and more stringent since October 2009, which are as follows:
At least 50 examinees taking the CPA licensure examination; and
At least 80.00% institutional passing rate
