Harleen Randhawa, Community Engagement Ambassador
Harleen Kaur Randhawa is a current Master of Teaching candidate at the University of Toronto Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Harleen initially joined BIAPH in the summer of 2023 working as a Business Development Officer. As a founding member of BIAPH's Youth Engagement Team, Harleen is proud of this youth-led initiative and to have contributed in frontlines, development of the program, and on behind the scenes. Harleen decided to stay on as an YET Executive Advisory Committee member after she completed her contract with BIAPH in August 2023. She served in this role from 2023-2024. After a short break from the organization, during which she continued volunteering in organizations such as William Osler Health System as a Patient Family Partner and contributed to roundtables at the federal level, Harleen is proud to be returning to BIAPH as a Community Engagement Ambassador. She is deeply passionate about engaging with meaningful causes, volunteering, non-profit organizations, education, and addressing social determinants of health. Through her new role at BIAPH, Harleen hopes to bridge gaps between individuals and families impacted by ABI, community resources, innovation, accessibility, and youth engagement. Outside of school, work, and volunteering, Harleen enjoys painting, listening to music, and spending time with her family/friends.
