History of the Project
June 4th, 2020
An official letter was issued by the Honorary Secretary, Professor Ram Sakal Yadava. This was the formal begining of the project under the supervision of Dr. Aditya Singh who volunteered to undertake this responsibility.

Scanning of NGJI volumes from 2010 to 2016 complete. PDFs from 2014 to 2020 uploaded on the new BHU webpage.
November 21th, 2020
NGJI's new website (www.ngji.in) came into existence. Thanks to the voluntary services of Senior Software Engineer Mr. V. Singh of Delhi and relentless efforts of Dr. Aditya Singh.
Thanks to Public Knowledge Project's Open Journal System (OJS) which provided base for the website i.e., OJS, the open source software application for managing and publishing scholarly journals.
Thanks to Honorary Secretary, Professor R. S. Yadava's generous financial support for the purpose of buying the domain name for the journal website. The Journal now owns the domain name www.ngji.in for the next ten years.
30th November 2020
Uploaded the recentmost NGJI research articles along with their metadata (including abstract, keywords, authors, affiliations, contacts, etc.) one by one on the website.
Thanks to Mr. V. Kumar and Dr. Aditya Singh for volunteering this tedious and exhausting task of uploading previously published articles and updating their metadata on the website.
4th December 2020
Article metadata for recentmost issues was sent to the CrossRef. Thanks to Professor K. P. Goswami and Dr. Aditya Singh for all the voluntary hard work.

Jorunal articles recieved their DOIs from CrossRef for the first time in the history of the National Geographical Journal of India. Thanks to Professor K. P. Goswami, Professor R. S. Yadava, and Dr. Aditya Singh.
