This month, our precept is about being KIND to every KIND, not just mankind! During the celebration, you will watch several fun songs and videos with ideas about how to show kindness towards people and animals! Towards the end, you will even have a chance to see some of the cutest endangered animals that live on our planet!

During November, we have been practicing "Hakuna Matata"! These famous words from The Lion King mean encourage us to "have no worries for the rest of our days"! Although we all have worries sometimes, it's important to practice coping tools to help push those worries away and feel calm. Watch our November Community Celebration below and learn 3 new strategies to help you feel a little more "hakuna matata"!

This month, we have celebrated the Week of Respect and used our October precept as our theme: "It's because we are different that each of us is special". We have read stories, done activities, and have had some great conversations about what makes each of us unique and special. Even though we are all different, we respect each other and celebrate our beautiful differences!

Each month Miss Goldstein and Miss Spano lead special assemblies to celebrate our students and teach a precept. Our celebrations are filled with music, fun videos, and educational messages to promote our students' social/emotional development. We encourage you to watch our September celebration (below) and participate as a family! This month, we are celebrating the wise words of Ms. Frizzle, "Take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!".
