Course Description: Marketing is the action or business of promoting and selling products or services, including market research and advertising. This course introduces the basics of marketing, then delves into specifics related to promotional strategies for selling goods and services, pricing principles and practices, the marketing research process, and advertising. This course will also discuss the decisions a business makes in the production and sales of its products.
Students will complete a marketing plan for a food truck company of their choice!
Branding: color, scheme, logo, slogan
Competition: competitive ananlysis on a food truck that can be viewed as a direct threat
Pricing: menu planning and design
Packaging: kid's meal packaging and cross-promotion with a popular kid's television show or movie targeting youth 3-10 years of age
Uniform: branded uniform to serve as a walking advertisement and cohesion
Advertising: social media advertisements
Prototype: students assemble a scaled version of their mobile business
