Job Transition 1

Our Job Transition 1 class will be starting CBIs - Community Based Instruction in October.  I am still coordinating with my job site partnerships and we will start going to job sites in November.   

We do Community Based Instruction every D day.  We leave after lunch at 11:15am and return to the school around 1:40pm.   For the month of October, we will be going to the Gloucester Twp. Outlets or the Deptford Mall to work on skills we are learning in the classroom.  If they want to make a purchase, they can bring money.

We will be going on behind the scenes tours and talking with managers at these locations.  The skills we will be practicing are reading & using a directory/map to find amenities and locations, introducing ourselves to store managers and asking for a job application/employment process, identifying jobs in the community, identifying appropriate work clothing and shoes, identifying appropriate job interview attire, and asking questions in the community.
