Our Mission
Our mission is to provide high-quality, literacy instruction to strengthen and support essential literacy skills empowering students to achieve academic success in school, career, and life.
Our Goal
Our goal is to create a systemic focus on literacy that successfully cultivates the academic literacy habits and abilities of all students.
The Literacy Lab is open to all students during lunch
Students are identified for the program using the following criteria:
Previous NJASK Scores
PSAT scores
NJSLA scores
Start Strong scores
English grades
Teacher referrals
The Literacy Lab
Provides instruction to students in need of additional support
Provides an inviting and supportive environment to foster confidence in our students
Act as a resource for teachers to assist in strengthening literacy development across content areas
Assists in preparing our students for college and career
