Spotlight Showcase is a professionally-produced, two-night event taking place at the Historic State Theatre. It highlights the hard work and talent of the students, teachers, families, and community members that are part of the vibrant high school musical theatre community in Minnesota. Over 1,600 students participated on and offstage at the 2017 showcase.

Past One Act Record
One Act Play
One Act Play is a MNSHSL 35 minute play competition. Local high schools compete in their sections for a chance to star at the State Festival (the highest achievement that a One Act can receive in the state of Minnesota). High Schools choose and perform a One Act play that meets MNSHSL rules and perform for a panel of judges to qualify for the next round of competition. Buffalo High School's 2021 One Act Play is Under the Stars and Stripes, Stories of World War II. Check the theatre calendar for One Act competition dates.
