A. The teachers at BH-BL continue to create amazing virtual content for our students in these unprecedented times. They have done unprecedented work with virtually no lead time. It is humbling to see the talent of our educators and the willingness to try new things.
In an effort to streamline this enormous undertaking, the district is encouraging teachers to use specific products. These are products that the district has vetted and deemed safe as per the NYS ED Law 2D regulations. Protecting data privacy is as critical as ever before. Teachers who are using resources beyond those listed below have been instructed that they must be listed as approved or pending in the districts app catalog.

A. Google has a Guardian Summaries feature for Google Classroom that allows parents to receive a weekly or daily summary of content that has been assigned in your child's Google Classrooms. You must be invited as a guardian by one of your child's teachers, so reach out to them for an invitation if you have not received one. Once you accept the invitation, you will receive summaries for ALL of your child's Google Classrooms. To change your preferences for how often you receive summaries, go to classroom.google.com/gs. It is recommended that you use a Gmail account for Guardian Summaries.
