Hello!
My name is Maya Bhaskaran, and I am delighted to be your Second-Grade teacher this year! I graduated from Sonoma State University with a BA in Liberal Studies and a Multiple-Subject teaching credential.
I grew up in the Bay Area, where I went to school in San Ramon, CA. I have three younger siblings whom I am very close to. A little about me is that I love to draw, and participating in activities where I am working with my hands makes me very happy. I am excited to work closely with you and your child to make this a wonderful year!
I also love animals! Here is a picture of my dog Kaalia. He is a Terrier Mix and is 13 years old. 🐾

In My Free Time!
In my free time, I love to watch movies, draw, try different foods, travel, and go on adventures! My favorite movie/series is Harry Potter. After reading all the books and watching all the movies, I found that I am a Hufflepuff! My favorite media to work with is charcoal and watercolors. I am a big foodie and make it a point to try different foods wherever I am. I have recently started to travel more and enjoy traveling to various countries.
