Mrs. Lichtenwalner

Librarians often get asked for Reading Lists...take your student to the library, and have them pick a bunch of books they think they'd like to try.  Their being interested in the book, can be more important that the actual book itself.

Also more important, is what you do after they've read it!  Make sure you talk to them about it.

If their answer to 'what was the book about' is "I don't know"  try asking who would you like to be friends with in the story?  Did you think it had a good ending?  If you were rewriting it, how would you change it?

Welcome to the LIBRARY!!!

My name is Marie Lichtenwalner and I am the ES Librarian!

I have 5 boys, and I've been married 27 years.  This will be my 5th year teaching at Brandywine, and my 8th year teaching overall.  I worked at Brandywine Community Library for 11 years before coming to BHES.  My time outside of school is spent reading (of course:)), traveling to Lock Haven University to watch soccer, and playing video games.

The best way to get in touch with me is through email ... marlic@bhasd.org

The students will need to join my classroom in order for these links to work.  They will join my GC during library class.  If they missed that for any reason, please email me at marlic@bhasd.org
