Early Childhood Coordinator

My name is Mrs. Marcella Acosta.  I am the Early Childhood Coordinator at Brandywine Heights Elementary School.  I have been teaching for twenty years; eighteen of which have been with Brandywine Heights Area School District.  I earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in elementary education from Kutztown University.  My favorite thing about the education process is seeing how children learn and grow academically, behaviorally, and socially.

Prior to my teaching career, I practiced occupational therapy in an acute rehabilitation setting.  I assisted individuals to restore their independence in order to return home.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, playing racquetball and picklelball, riding bike, and shopping.  My favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband and daughter, Natalie!
