Social Studies Educator

Hello fellow school community members!

My name is Lisa Ehrets and I have been privileged to teach in the Brandywine School district since 2007. This year I will be teaching  9th-grade Honors American History I, 10th-grade Contemporary American History II, and AP United States History. I am looking forward to a positive 2023-2024 school year with our students!! GO BRANDYWINE!!

About me

In high school my favorite teachers were my social studies teachers because they were funny, took no nonsense and gave fascinating lectures about historical figures and events that captivated me. These teachers helped me recognize the humanity of legendary women and men who are part of the American experience (what ever happened to that Roanoke colony!). My favorite historical time period has always been the Medieval period, particularly learning about the unique personal herstories of the 6 wives of Henry VIII (shout out to Alison Weir's book "The Six Wives of Henry VIII"). My favorite genre of music is 90's grunge/alternative rock and my favorite movie is "A Few Good Men". I'm looking forward to working with your student!!
