Welcome!

Welcome to the teacher page of Lori Angstadt. I am in my 31st year of teaching Social Studies at BHHS. This year I am teaching Government/Economics, Psychology, Sociology, History of Women and History II. In the past I have also taught Computer Literacy, Computer Presentation Design, Computer Applications I & II. I am a 1983 graduate of Indiana University of PA with a BA in Psychology. I earned my Secondary Social Studies Certification at Kutztown University (1987) and my Master of Education in Computers in Education K-12 from DeSales University (2004). I am also a proud graduate of the Class of 1979 of Brandywine Heights High School and an alumni member of the National Honor Society and an Honorary Faculty Member. I was actively involved in writing the grant for Classrooms For the Future and was selected as the Keystone Technology Integrator. I am also an advisor to the Cascade Brigade Jugglers. From 1987-2004, I coached boys and girls tennis at BHHS. I also was the assistant softball coach in 1989. For the past three years, I have returned to be the Assistant Girls and Boys Tennis Coach.

Outside of school, I enjoy playing tennis with my Kutztown tennis pals and contract players at Winning Touch Tennis in Bethlehem. I have spent the past 40 summers working at Brown Ledge Camp in Colchester, Vermont where I teach tennis and do many administrative tasks. I have served on the Board of Directors of Brown Ledge Camp and was the editor of their alumnae newsletter for 15 years.

I love to travel and once took a 43 day trip out west and visited 19 National Parks. Seven years ago, I took a trip of a lifetime to Alaska and also visited camp friends in Sweden and Copenhagen.

I think it is important to make learning relevant and think that the best part of my job is teaching and learning from my great students. They keep me grounded. Some people say that I have over 300 bumper stickers in my classroom.
