Mrs. Snyder

Lead Reading & Intervention Specialist

I have a passion for teaching kids to become readers, to become comfortable with a book, not daunted. Books shouldn’t be daunting. They should be funny, exciting, and wonderful.

About me

I began my teaching career in 2004 after graduating from Kutztown University with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education. I taught learning support and first grade before receiving my Master's Degree in Reading from Kutztown University in 2009.  Upon completion of my Master's Degree, I became a reading specialist and have been working with students in kindergarten through fifth grades since! Teaching reading is a passion, and I enjoy helping learners of all ages become better readers. I am currently studying Educational Leadership at Wilkes University because I think it is paramount for educators to lead the way for future generations.

I live in Blandon with my husband, daughter, and puppy. We spend lots of time outside, enjoying nice weather whenever we can. In the summer, swimming is our top pick. During the cold winter months, we enjoy lots of movies together as a family. Fun fact about me - I love to do crossword puzzles before going to bed.
