Reading intervention is funded through Title I, Part A, which is a federally-funded program that provides students with reading and math support. Academic supports are provided through our schools’ Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. MTSS is designed to ensure that every student receives the instruction they need to succeed academically. The reading and intervention specialists make instructional decisions based on student data. Students who are or are at risk for struggling with reading or math receive intervention support at the Tier 2 or Tier 3 level. Students’ progress is monitored closely to determine when intervention support is no longer needed.
