FAQ
Where can I find course information?
Under the "Classes" tab, each of the course I teach have a web page. A calendar is provided with all assignments that are posted to Google Classroom. Course information, policies, and procedures can be found in the Policy Paper, attached to the course page.
What supplies do students need on the first day?
Please check the course-specific Policy Paper for a list of school supplies.
Where can I find assignments, grades, and announcements?
Google Classroom contains all assignment directions, deadlines, and announcements. Students can access Google Classroom with their BHASD email and password. Guardian Summaries allows parents to view class activity, missing work, and upcoming work. Parents/guardians have the option to receive daily or weekly email summaries from Google Classroom. At the beginning of the year, an email invitation will be sent to join. If you would like to opt-in, please accept the invitation.
For parents who'd like a quick glance at assignment deadlines and upcoming assessments, please check the course calendar under the "Classes" tab.
Final grades are posted in Infinite Campus. Parents can log in through the parent portal to see student grades and missing assignments.
How can students stay up-to-date?
High school students should be checking Google Classroom and their email daily for important updates on classwork, homework, upcoming deadlines, and quiz and test dates. While announcements will be made in class, it is the student's responsibility to submit assignments on time. I strongly recommend that students keep an assignment planner (digital or paper) to keep track of deadlines.
How can parents/guardians stay up-to-date?
Every month, students complete a Monthly Reflection Form that they can take home to their families. Some students may be required to obtain a parent/guardian signature and return the form. Feel free to ask your student about their progress!
How quickly will emails be returned?
Nearly all emails will receive a reply within 24 hours, unless that time frame falls on a school closure date or weekend.
