Student SOCS access

1.       Click the SOCS icon on your iPad or go to https://www.socscms.com/login/60/pupil

 

2.       Log in using your school email address and the password. If you are already logged in to a different (non BGS) google account you may have to log out of this first.

 

3.       Click on “Activities” menu item (may be on the left or the bottom depending on whether you are viewing portrait or landscape).

 

a.       Select the term you are interested in (Autumn, Spring or Summer)

b.       Open the appropriate folders 

c.       Pick clubs that you will attend

d.       Click “Add” for the option you want to do

e.       Click the blue “Add activity” to confirm this

f.       You can also remove yourself from clubs you don't want to attend. You may need to remove yourself from one before you can sign up to another.


Getting clubs to appear in your calendar

 Click on “Calendar Sync” menu item (may be on the left or the bottom depending on whether you are viewing portrait or landscape). Click on the top blue webcal link and then subscribe. This adds your activities and clubs to your calendar. You can repeat this step on your phone if you wish. 

Getting your iPad to remember your passwords for you

Go into Settings/Passwords and turn on "AutoFill Passwords" and "Keychain". This will mean your iPad remembers your passwords for you so you don't have to.
