Kindergartners completed a coding unit and had fun learning about sequencing and loops.

Left: Students from Ms. Keown's class practiced being programmers and computers with Code Hopper.

Right: Students from Mrs. Howard's class coded a sequence for their fuzzball to go through a maze on kodable.com.

Below left: Intermediate students enjoyed coding their own games on code.org and sharing them with classmates.

Below right: Intermediate students were a huge help during Hour of Code, helping younger Admirals by reading instructions and troubleshooting their codes.

Hour of Code!

Hour of Code is a worldwide effort to promote Computer Science in classrooms. At WR McNeill, all students participated during Computer Lab the week of November 26-30. Coding teaches students to think through problems in a sequence and to break problems into smaller pieces. Check out the coding tutorials at the code.org link below. What will you create?
