I have my Masters Degree in Special Education from Campbellsville University. I also have my Rank I in Special Education from University of the Cumberlands! I am a member of the school's Site Base Decision Making Counsel.

I am married to Bobbi Turner Dotson. She is beginning her 22th year at Bowling Green Junior High, teaching 8th grade Math. Bobbi is the Head Cheer Coach at Bowling Green Junior High School and Bowling Green High School. We have two daughters, Turner Katherine (13) and Lola (10). We have a 5 year old Lab named Shep!
