I graduated from WKU with my bachelor's degree in nursing in 2008, became a registered nurse, and worked at the Medical Center in Bowling Green from 2008 - 2020. I worked in a med/surg and postoperative unit for several of those years, then transferred to postpartum until was given to opportunity to come to Bowling Green High School to teach in 2020. I also had previous experience as an SNR (Student Nurse)/CNA in the oncology unit from 2007 - 2008.
I am married to Officer Donoghue, who is our school resource officer at BGHS, and we have two hilarious and talented young kids. In my spare time, you can find me at the library, Target, or at home, reading. I also love to grow plants and flowers in our garden, try new foods (Officer Donoghue likes to cook, and I like to eat), and go on adventures no matter how big or small.
To sum it up in just a few words: I love nursing, and I love teaching. I am so excited that my job is to combine the two; my goal is to instill a love for the medical arts and health care in our BGHS Medical Arts students!
