Student Quick Links

Students can select the house icon located by the URL bar to access the most frequently used websites for learning.

Canvas: Learning Management System

Each student has a Canvas course for each class including iSucceed for the daily attendance check.

Students need to use the Canvas website specifically designed for Beech Grove City Schools. You should see the hornet on the website.

School Chromebook

  1. Navigate to Beech Grove City School's Canvas site using the link found on the BGMS Quick Links.

  2. Use the Google Waffle - Scroll down until you see the Canvas multicolored icon. Select the icon to automatically sign into Canvas.

Personal Device

  1. Open http://bgcs.instructure.com. The student's username is the first + last name. The password is the student's lunch number + first name.

Google Workspace Accounts

Student Google accounts are monitored and maintained by Beech Grove City Schools. Students need to follow the guidelines detailed in the Acceptable Use Policy signed by parents at registration each year. BGCS utilizes a third party called Bark to help manage student accounts. Parents can sign up to receive copies of flagged items.

Gmail

Students are assigned a school email account. This account information can be found in Skyward Student. The username is typically the student first name + last name @bgcs.k12.in.us. The default password is the student lunch number + first name. Students then change the password to something unique. Contact mmartin@bgcs.k12.in.us if the student does not remember the unique password.

Google Meet

Students use Google Meet to access live instruction with his/her teacher. Students must be signed in using his or her school email account. The teacher will provide the access nickname for the session. Sessions may be recorded and posted in Canvas for students to view after the course has completed. Check with your child's teacher for more information on how video conferencing is used to support learning.

Skyward Family Access

View student profile information including address and phone, school schedule, assignments, and grades. Parents and students each have a login and password to access this information. Email the main office if corrections need to be made to the student information.

Chromebook Rules and Expectations

Students review the AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) at the start of the school year. Parents sign this document during registration. Questions about the device policy can be sent to Ellen Collinsworth or to Chad Mann. Charges for missing items or damage should be directed to Jonathan Radcliffe or April Calhoun.
