St. Basil’s Distance Learning Communication Processes

Dear families,

During this time of distance learning, we are working as a community to do our best to support you. Establishing routines for communicating will be helpful for us all for ensuring we are supporting you effectively and efficiently.

For these reasons, we ask the following:

  • General inquiries- For those questions or wonderings that you might usually ‘check-in’ at the office for, please email: stb.info@bgcdsb.org

  • Questions for a teacher about an assignment in your child’s google classroom- Please send a private comment within your child’s Google classroom. See this short video to know how to send these messages. Parents & Google Classroom Using Private Comments

  • Other questions for teachers not related to an assignment in Google Classroom- Please email stb.info@bgcdsb.org. In the subject line: indicate the name of the teacher your email is for. For Example: Subject: Mr. Wild

Our entire St. Basil’s staff will do their best to respond to your questions in a timely manner. Messages you send at night will most likely be responded to by the end of the next school day.

Although it may be tempting to contact staff directly, we ask you to not reach out through their home phone, by text or by direct email. Your messages may be lost and we want to ensure we have an organized way for communicating with you.
