Course Materials

• You are required to purchase the CDA Competency Book.  Preschool CDA Candidates will need to purchase the green book, Infant-Toddler CDA Candidates will need to purchase the yellow book, and Family Child Care Candidates will need to purchase the blue book. Purchase your materials from the Council for Professional Recognition.  In most cases, you will need to pay $33 --$25 for the book and $8 for shipping and handling. *We have a lending library for you to use while you wait for your book to ship.  

• 1 to 3-inch binder

• 10 dividers (labeled A through J)

• 100 plastic sheet protectors

• At least one laptop or tablet with internet access (for virtual and self-paced students)

• If you don't already have a Gmail account, follow the steps below to create one.

Create a Gmail account

To sign up for Gmail, create a Google Account. You can use the username and password to sign in to Gmail and other Google products like YouTube, Google Play, and Google Drive.

1. Go to the Google Account creation page.

2. Follow the steps on the screen to set up your account.

3. Use the account you created to sign in to Gmail.
