Hello, and welcome to the new school year. I am looking forward to getting to know each one of you and delving into the amazing world of biology!
-I have always loved science. During the summer after my 8th grade year, I took both semesters of summer school biology at our local high school and LOVED it. I went on to enjoy all classes but ended up with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with a Chemistry minor.
-I grew up the daughter of an Air Force pilot, so I lived in several states but was born in Enid, Oklahoma.
-I love being a grandma; my first grand-baby Alice is age 8 and my second, Coraline is age 2, and now Hudson age 9.
-My husband Dale and I love to travel to new places, spend time at our patented silver mine in Globe, AZ., or head up to the cabin in the White Mountains for cool summer and snowy winter weekends. When we are lucky, our oldest son Shane with Kelly and Alice, Cora, son Larkin with Molly, daughter Katie with Ellie and Hudson, and son Logan, take a few vacation days and join us.
-We have cows, horses, chickens, dogs, and cats, and like to grow fruits and veggies here in Queen Creek. We love spending time outdoors on our little Ranchito!
-I have been teaching here at Benjamin Franklin for 20 + years and, prior to that, for 3 years in the Page Unified School District, as well as 1 year in Queen Creek Unified School District.
