Week of August 17th Â
Good morning, families!
I hope you are all doing well!
This week is our Ice Cream Social, and I want to apologize for getting ahead of myself last week! I guess this hot weather had me craving some ice cream a little too early! 😊
The Ice Cream Social will be THIS Thursday from 6:00–7:00 p.m. I hope to see you all there!
As students continue adjusting to their new teachers, routines, and the increased expectations of their grade-level curriculum, some students are adjusting quickly, while others may need a little more time. Please know that I am working closely with their general education teachers to ensure that students are receiving their accommodations and the support they need to be successful.
I encourage families to be patient and give students time to adjust to this transition. We are working together to help each student feel comfortable, confident, and supported as they continue this new school year.
Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to seeing you Thursday!
Warmly,
Mrs. Solis
Long-term assignments have been sent home. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Â
Please keep in mind that if your student receives 30 minutes or more of reading with me each day, I will be giving them their reading grade. This also means that I will be giving them their long-term assignments, which include poems, reading logs, and book reports.Â
If your student receives Spalding instruction from me, I will be assigning their Spalding spelling homework.
Â
If your student receives 30 minutes or more of math with me each day, I will be giving them math homework and their math grade.
Â
If your student receives 30 minutes or more of writing with me each day, I will be giving them their writing grade.
Â
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Mrs. SolisÂ
