It was a productive practice the students enjoyed, where they could put in play all the content learned in Unit 1, including the Unit 1 two lessons vocabulary words.

U1L1 content material is an expansion of the Preliminary Unit, studied in Week 1 and 2. Today we went back to learning the Subject/Personal Pronouns in their formal and informal forms. We also reviewed the verb To Be = SER and its conjugation. We continued practicing expressions with the verb Gustar = To like in the sentence structure Gustar + Infinitive verbs = To like to do something.
We learned how to make an affirmative sentence, negative, by adding the negation NO before the verb. Todayś slides are: Week 3 - Block Day

Monday July 21
The students were introduced to the personal pronouns and the conjugation of the verb SER = To Be. They applied the verb to different expressions included in the week's grammar. We also analyzed the introductions in Spanish, in their formal and informal ways. The students also learned the different question words in Spanish.
We continued working on the Preliminary Unit Vocabulary.

Today we reviewed the question words and analyzed their use in Spanish, compared to English.
The students were introduced to the Spanish Alphabet. As an oral practice, the student sang the Spanish Alphabet to learn the pronunciation of both consonants and vowels.
The students were introduced to the expression SER DE + To be from. The students practiced this expression along with the 21 Spanish speaking countries in the world.
Students must practice and learn the Preliminary Unit Vocabulary for a Quiz on Block Day.

It was a productive practice the students enjoyed, where they could put in play all the content learned in Unit 1, including the Unit 1 two lessons vocabulary words.

This week we continued with the verb Gustar = To like, explaining how this verb follows a grammatical structure that is different from the rest of the verbs. Today we reviewed the question words and analyzed their use in Spanish, compared to English.
The students were introduced to the Spanish Alphabet. As an oral practice, the student sang the Spanish Alphabet to learn the pronunciation of both consonants and vowels.

Today we started with Unit 3 Lesson 1, and the students received their new U3L1 Vocabulary. They copied the new vocabulary translation from the screen. They completed vocabulary practice exercises to familiarize with the new vocab subject: Food and Beverages. Today we continued practicing how to make adjectives and articles agree with the subjects they modify, based on their gender and number. They completed several exercises describing the images on the screen and also created descriptions of their teachers in the form of a guess, so that the whole class could identify what teacher the guess referred to. It was a productive practice the students enjoyed, where they could put in play all the content learned in Unit 1, including the Unit 1 two lessons vocabulary words.

This week we continued with the verb Gustar = To like, explaining how this verb follows a grammatical structure that is different from the rest of the verbs. The students learned that personal pronouns are not used with Gustar, but Indirect Object Pronouns, instead. The students also worked on combining the expressions: Ser + de with the verb Gustar. Today the students learned to make emphasis on the fact that people like or dislike doing something, using the prepositional phrase "A mí, A ti, A él, A ella, A Usted, ... This is a more complex structure with the verb Gustar, but very commonly used. We also practiced the U1L1 Vocabulary on activities that we like. U1L1 content material is an expansion of the Preliminary Unit, studied in Week 1 and 2. Today we went back to learning the Subject/Personal Pronouns in their formal and informal forms. We also reviewed the verb To Be = SER and its conjugation. We continued practicing expressions with the verb Gustar = To like in the sentence structure Gustar + Infinitive verbs = To like to do something.

Monday July 21
The students were introduced to the personal pronouns and the conjugation of the verb SER = To Be. They applied the verb to different expressions included in the week's grammar. We also analyzed the introductions in Spanish, in their formal and informal ways. The students also learned the different question words in Spanish.
We continued working on the Preliminary Unit Vocabulary.

Tuesday, July 22
Today we reviewed the question words and analyzed their use in Spanish, compared to English.
The students were introduced to the Spanish Alphabet. As an oral practice, the student sang the Spanish Alphabet to learn the pronunciation of both consonants and vowels.
The students were introduced to the expression SER DE + To be from. The students practiced this expression along with the 21 Spanish speaking countries in the world.
Students must practice and learn the Preliminary Unit Vocabulary for a Quiz on Block Day.
