Quarter 1 Poem

DUE Sept 10th

Your students should have brought home a slip for poem selection. Please pick first and second choice of a poem recitation and return the slip ASAP. We will practice every chance we get in class but please make sure you practice your poem at home as well. 

Students will be graded on their ability to accurately recite their poem. They also recieve points for body language, expression, and volume. Please read through the packet that came home and reach out with any questions. 

Quarter 1 Book Report

DUE Sept 3rd

For the first quarter book report, students should read a fiction chapter book with around 60 pages that contains characters, a setting, and a plot. Students should make their best efforts to create a book cover that includes color. The information inside the book report (the best part, the character, the setting and the plot) should be written in complete sentences and include capitalization and periods. All copies will be provided in class. Please assist students with assembly and encourage them to use their best handwriting. All the work should be completed by the student. Don’t forget to have students write their name on the front. Please contact me with any questions!
