" Be Your Best Self "
As your scholars continue to grow throughout the year, we will continue to focus on the importance of being our best self. I use this phrase often because I want students to understand that they are always capable of growth and making positive choices.
Being your best self means giving your best effort in all areas, whether that is academics, being a kind friend, helping others, or becoming the best version of yourself. This motto is not about perfection. Every student’s best looks different each day, and that is something to celebrate.
Some days, students may be able to give 100%, while other days they may only have 75% to give. What matters is that they are trying their best in that moment and continuing to grow.
To celebrate this, our classroom has a “Be Your Best Self” wall where students can recognize peers who are showing virtue and kindness. Students add sticky notes sharing the thoughtful actions they notice from classmates, helping us celebrate the character and effort that make our classroom community so special.
