This course will cover A.P. Macroeconomics, which is concerned with the big picture and studying the economy as a whole. We will discuss topics such as unemployment, inflation, fiscal policy, monetary policy, financial markets, economic growth and international trade. Economics transcends almost any aspect of life and the world we live in. Hence, it has become pivotal that everyone has a basic understanding of the subject matter.
This class is a college level class that will require rigorous reading and writing assignments. There will be required reading from the textbook along with supplemental sources. Majority of your reading will be done outside of class, and class time will be spent discussing the topics that emerge from these sources. We will do this by becoming economists. We will begin to analyze primary and secondary sources, have class discussions, and express our opinions through writing and other activities. Below are the expectations of my class and ways for you to be successful in the course and on the A.P. exam in May.
