Welcome to the Digital, side of Yearbook. An elective for creating expanded media for Benjamin Franklin High School.
We cover many aspects of media, and communications that relate to Student Life. The goal of this class is to promote student voices and student culture at the school. As the ears and eyes of the school, your responsibility will be to create video stories, write for the school newspaper, develop web content, and produce podcasts..
You will learn to conduct interviews, write scripts, handle a camera for photography and video, produce digital advertising, and use a microphone. You will also learn to interview students and staff, and produce timely digital ‘news’ segments. Time management, planning, and strong communication skills will be expected. Creativity too! This is a student media class that supports the Yearbook class, and events planned by STUGO and STUCO.
