Have a struggling reader? Here are some tips to help.
Have your child read about something they are interested in, and have them explain it to you in their own words. It can be broken down into just one paragraph or short passage at a time.
Read aloud to your child, have your child read aloud to you, or take turns.
Choose a calm, quiet, and relaxing space in which to read.
Be patient and encouraging and celebrate milestones.
