Phonograms to practice for the WRITTEN TEST:

v, w, x, y, z, ie, dge (3 letters), ei, 

eigh (4 letters), wh, ed, ew, 

ui (not used), gu, oa (word: boat) 

spelling words: 

of, be, but, this, your

 I will say the phonogram and they will write it on their paper.  When I give them phonograms with cues, I say the phonogram by itself and they repeat it. Then I say the word that goes with it so they know which one it is. For spelling words, I will give the word and they will write it. They will go on the same test as the phonogram test.
