5th grade has implemented Standards Based Grading.
Effort: This includes all graded assignments or activities that have been completed during class instruction. This also includes, but is not limited to, following directions, effort, creativity, coming prepared to class, and actively participating in class discussions. Students are responsible for acquiring any missed notes, and classwork due to absences.
Assessments: Throughout each term students will be periodically quizzed on concepts. Prior notice may not always be given for quizzes, as they are sometimes designed to quickly check in on your child’s progress.
