3rd Grade Team

I am going into my 23th year teaching 3rd Grade at BFCCPS. Teaching is my passion, I love coming to work every day!!

I changed careers when my children started school. After substituting for a couple of months, I knew teaching was for me! I went back to school got my masters in education and the rest is history. I am married to a wonderful husband who is a commerical photographer. I have two awesome adult daughters who live in Asheville, NC and are both doing what they love.

I have many school favorites...purple, teaching science, growth mindset, technology, literture circles, & Daily 5. 

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking with my best friend...Millie. Millie is my black labordoodle and turns  year on November 24th! My second favorite is camping with my family and cooking for big crowds and Patriots Game Days!

A little bit about me...

I am so happy to be entering my eleventh year as a third grade teacher at BFCCPS, as well as my sixth year as the Faculty Representative on the Board of Trustees.  This is such a wonderful place to teach and learn! The 2021-2022 school year is going to be an exciting new adventure for us all!

When I was in 6th grade, I had a wonderful teacher named Miss Green. She was one of those teachers that had an impact on my life. She was my inspiration. I decided then that I wanted to teach, inspire, and make a difference too!

My two daughters are becoming quite grown up, both already have graduated college,  and our baby, Maizy, a 5 year old Maltese, has our hearts. We still enjoy vacationing together lakeside in NH, day trips to the beach, and our most favorite, family game nights!

Hi 3rd Grade Families!

I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade again this year.This is my second year in 3rd grade with this amazing team and I feel so lucky to be here.

I started at BFCCPS in 2019, teaching 1st grade in the remote academy. After moving up to 3rd  grade in 2023, I feel like I have found my people. This is my happy place.

When I am not at school, I spend as much time as I can with my incredible husband, 3 busy kids, and 2 crazy dogs. I love to travel, but I also really like to stay home, on my couch, drinking coffee and bingeing docuseries on Netflix.

I consider BFCCPS, my teammates and students my extended family. I am happy to be a part of such an amazing group of people, and look forward to accomplishing so many things throughout the year.
