Homework Policy

As a team, our policy is to only assign homework that is essential for students’ success in practicing skills and understanding.

• Why do you give homework?

  • We don’t assign much homework so when you do have homework it is because it is important for you to complete.

  • We are trying to help you get better at that skill and practice it more.

• Do you grade homework?

  • Yes, and we will always take it late but not necessarily for full credit.

• How much time should I spend on homework?

  • It depends on you! Sometimes it won’t take a long time, and sometimes it will. Sometimes you will need to work on a piece of a bigger assignment (like an essay) each night, and if you don’t that work will still pile up. SO, don’t save it for the day before it is due!

  • Most of the time homework is assignments that weren’t finished in class. If you use your class time wisely, you won’t have to do much at home.

  • If you still feel you are spending a lot of time on homework, please speak to/email the teacher.
