What we do

MakerSpace offers Library patrons access to high quality, professional grade and introductory computer hardware, software, and equipment to support their educational, entrepreneurial and personal endeavors.

APPOINTMENTS

In order to use equipment such as the Cricut and the Heat Presses, an appointment must be made at least 24 hours ahead of time. Call the library at 330-534-3512 ext 6116 to schedule.

SOFTWARE

The Adobe Creative Suite and Cricut Design Space are both available on one of our public computers. This computer utilizes the same rules as our other public computers and may not be available at all times, as all computers are first come, first serve. An appointment is recommended to use this computer to ensure availability and can be scheduled as above.

Agreement

In order to utilize MakerSpace equipment such as the heat presses or the Cricut, an agreement will be filled out during your first appointment. We can print a copy for you upon request, but you may read the agreement ahead of time below.

Wide-format Printer

Create banners, posters, trade show graphics, wallpaper, murals, backlit film, presentation backdrops, and any other large format artwork or signage.

Submit a Print Job

SUBLIMATION PRINTING

Create graphics that can be transferred to items via sublimation.

At this time, you must directly contact the Library at connect@beyond-books.org to utilize our sublimation printing service.

Please understand that this is the printing part of sublimation and patrons will need to use other Makerspace equipment or their own to sublimation onto their item.

3D Printing

3D Printing or Additive Manufacturing is a process of making three-dimensional solid objects from a digital file.

3D printing on our resin printer may also available upon request. Please email connect@beyond-books.org for more information. The 3D Printing rules still apply.

TUMBLER/MUG PRESS

This mug/tumbler heat press is a specialized press designed for applying heat-transfer designs onto personalized cups with a wide range, including 12-30 oz straight sublimation tumblers, 16-30 oz water bottles, 11-16 oz mugs, can coolers, and various other straight glasses.

Cricut EASY PRESS

A Cricut heat press is a specialized press designed for applying heat-transfer designs onto fabric, wood, and other surfaces.

Call the library at 330-534-3512 ext 6116 to schedule an appointment to use this machine. We have three sizes available: mini, 9x9 and 12x10 inches.

You must bring your own materials.

Cricut hat PRESS

A Cricut heat press is a specialized press designed for applying heat-transfer designs onto fabric, wood, and other surfaces. This press is designed for curved objects, such as hats.

If you are allergic to nuts, you cannot use the hat form and must bring a towel or other item to stuff inside the hat for pressing. The library is not responsible for any allergic reactions that may come from use without alerting staff to this.

Cricut Maker

This cutting machine can be used for paper, felt, vinyl, and fabric and more.

Patrons must know how to use Cricut Design Space and have their own account prior to use. Staff will not be available for education in regards to this software.
