If you are having some technical issues with accessing our online resources, we have a few tips:
Turn the iPad all the way off - make sure the screen with the slider comes up and then you "slide to power off". Leave it all the way off for at least 30-60 seconds before restarting it. This will take care of a remarkable number of "glitchy" issues.

While we have the ability to find lost iPads in the BMS building, finding them in homes or outside of the building is problematic because many times they disconnect from all wireless connections when we send the iPad the “Lost Mode” command.
When that happens, the only way to put them back on any wireless is to plug them into a network cable at the BMS Tech center.
Without being able to plug them in at the BMS Tech center they will remain locked.
This means that putting them in lost mode to locate them can make the problem worse.
If a student reports a lost iPad have them go back and look for it again.
Also let one of your child's teachers know that it is missing.
We have the ability to reset passcodes (the code to unlock the iPad) remotely.
We would need the students name.
NOTE: The passcode is not the same as the students password, It is a 4 digit code, set by the student, used to unlock the iPad.
Please notify one of your student's teachers.
Your iPad may be full. See how to check it here (works for iPads, iPhones, iPods, etc.):
Check all connections (charger is plugged in securely, cord is plugged into charger securely, cord is plugged into iPad securely).
Take all 3 items charger, cord, and iPad to another room and plug into a different outlet.
If available, try another charger, cord, or device to see if symptoms change.
If you have not yet created an account for the Aspen Parent portal you should contact Maddy August ( maugust@beverlyschools.org ).

Zoom recently made their product along with premium services free to use for K12. Both Zoom and Google Meet (aka Hangout) are reliable and solid video conferencing solutions. We recommend using Google Meet because it is part of our suite of Google Apps tools and it's always free to use for BPS staff. Most likely, Zoom will begin to charge for the premium service once we are back in school.
We disabled that functionality for students for now.
